PHOENIX x DRAGON x STAG BEETLE x DINOSAUR
The coloring of the creature is a reference to the famous Phoenix by Katsushika Hokusai.
I got the idea from a stag beetle I found on the street. Its two horns reminded me of a dragon and a phoenix. The tail and beard are split in two. The flame is also bifurcated. I also wanted to connect ancient creatures such as the primordial bird and feathered dinosaurs with the world of Ukiyoe, so I tried that as well.
